Based on fiction. Inspired by facts. Written in lipstick. Held together by hairspray.

Just in from an incredible theatrical spectacular – Insane Animals by Bourgeois and Maurice.
This was my first experience of Bourgeois (George Hayworth) and Maurice (Liv Morris) – a sibling set of trendsetting aliens from a planet you won’t have heard of (but It’s New. And Cool. And Edgy).
Consider me a convert.

I don’t want to give too much away about the show – because I went in blind and it was just brilliant – and I’d hate to spoil any single aspect of it.
Based on the first ever recorded story – the Epic of Gilgamesh – Insane Animals is incredibly well written.

Every song is witty and catchy. The cast seemlessly transition between [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. And the story is at once hugely entertaining, toe tapping, thought provoking and occasionally poignant.
And it’s a total bargain at only a tenner! It’s only running for another fortnight so book your tickets now from HOME Manchester!
